DESCRIPTION:\nASPECT joins climate prediction and services experts in a workshop taking place in Bergen which brings together leading researchers and practitioners to discuss recent advances and challenges in operational climate prediction and enhanced opportunities in climate services, with a special emphasis on Europe, North America and the Arctic region.\n\n\n\nThe workshop will be arranged around three themes with a general focus on the Atlantic-Arctic region:\n\n\n\n\nProgress in understanding the mechanisms for predictability;\n\n\n\nDevelopment of climate prediction systems;\n\n\n\nEmerging opportunities in climate prediction services.\n\n\n\n\nThis will be a hybrid event, taking place in Bergen (Norway) and online.
