ECCA 2025 conference – ASPECT and I4C session: “Knowledge Integration for Climate Services: The Role of Knowledge Brokers”

Location: Rimini, Italy & online

ASPECT is participating at the 2025 edition of the annual ECCA conference, with a session on “Knowledge Integration for Climate Services”, held on the 18th of June 2025, with a joint session held in collaboration with the European project Impetus4Change.

The 90-min workshop will focus on the essential role of skilful and well positioned “knowledge brokers” in the development and sharing of useful and usable climate information, in the form of climate services.

Guided by the panellists who support the adaptation to extremes at the science- society and business-society interface, the participants of this session will have an opportunity to discuss the knowledge brokering process in the climate services domain. Fostering an interactive discussion and experience exchange, this session will identify different typologies of knowledge brokers along with their key attributes. This will improve our understanding of knowledge brokers’ roles and profiles, which can guide their selection and stimulate their inclusion in future climate services projects.
