Final ASPECT User Forum: Advancing Seamless Climate Predictions for Decision-Making
The Final ASPECT User Forum marks the concluding milestone of the ASPECT project, showcasing advances in seamless climate prediction and their value for real-world decision-making and adaptation. Over the past three years, ASPECT has developed innovative approaches to connect climate predictions from seasonal to multi-decadal timescales, placing users at the centre of the process. Through continuous dialogue between scientists and practitioners, the project has worked to translate cutting-edge climate science into practical, usable climate services across sectors such as agriculture, governance, and disaster risk management.

Taking place virtually on 23–24 March 2026, the two-day User Forum will bring together scientists, users, and decision-makers to consolidate project results and discuss future pathways for seamless climate services. Day one will focus on user needs, co-production approaches, and sectoral upscaling, while day two will address the scientific and technical foundations of seamless predictions, key indicators, data access, and practical implementation. Open to a broad audience with no specialised knowledge required, the event aims to strengthen a shared community of practice and support more resilient, climate-informed decisions.
