Pension Sector Survey

Are you in the Pension Sector? Help us test a new climate prototype!

Extreme weather events already affect European society and caused notable economic losses. However, risk analysis by pensions funds does not adequately consider physical risk from current or future climate. Experts warn of a looming climate change related mispricing crisis. The European project ASPECT is trying to help pensions sector investors by providing information that is useful for their decision making.

For this purpose, climate service experts at the Met Office (UK) have designed a short website for people without any prior climate knowledge. It is a quick and easy way for you to learn about how extreme weather will be causing financial losses in pension portfolios. It also explains how and why further climate change is likely to increase losses in your portfolio/s. ASPECT researchers from the University of Leeds are testing this early-stage prototype. Your answers and feedback will help improve the provision of climate information for the pension sector, and ultimately make Europe more resilient to climate variability and change.

The survey takes approximately 25 minutes to complete and is aimed at people in the pension sector, and who have either used or could potentially use weather/climate information.

Would you like to help us shape the next generation of climate information for a more resilient pension sector in Europe?

The survey will remain open until 18th July. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us
